Wendy Cope was a London primary school teacher until the publication of her first book of poems, “Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis”, in 1986. “Two Cures for Love”, a selection from her first three books, appeared in 2008. Her fourth collection,” Family Values”, was published in 2011. She lives in Ely.
Wendy sent me this lovely photo and accompanying text.
Here is a photo of my partner, the poet and critic Lachlan Mackinnon, and I about to set off for our wedding on 8th May 2013. We have lived together for nearly 20 years. The photographer is also called Lachlan Mackinnon (his son).
